![]() It's not too cold here in BC so I keep mine in the car even in the cold, just charge it up every few months. They also rebrand the same powerpacks for Duracell as well as under their own name. I believe the OEM for these is Xantrex, a company based out of Burnaby BC. So this is a 3000w inverter i called motomaster (maker of the eliminator. Of course I can't tell you how much more runtime you would get, that depends how much power your Laptop sucks but this should improve runtime though. Using an Auto adaptor eliminates the conversion and it will stay DC to DC all the way giving you more runtime. When you use a laptop you're converting DC Power (Power Pack) 12V -> AC Power 120V -> Laptop Power Adaptor (AC) -> Laptop (DC)Īs you can see you're basically doing: DC to AC then back to DC. The reason it dies quickly is because of inefficiency due to the invertor. Scottie wrote: ↑I Had the 300 one it sucked was able to poer my old laptop for maybe an hour before it went died.
